By Road:
Please be aware that Sat Nav devices tend to take you down a network of single-track Cornish lanes; which can be unsuitable for larger vehicles. We therefore advise that you travel via St Austell, and follow the directions as below.
From St Austell
Take the B3273 towards Mevagissey.
The entrance to Pentewan Sands is located on the left-hand side.
From Newquay
Take the A3058 to St Austell.
From St Austell, take the B3273 towards Mevagissey.
The entrance to Pentewan Sands is located on the left-hand side.
From Truro
Take the A390 to St Austell.
From St Austell, take the B3273 towards Mevagissey.

From the M5
Heading South on the M5, join the A30 westbound at Exeter.
At the Bodmin roundabout, take the A391 to St Austell.

What public transport do you have nearby?
There is a bus service that stops outside Pentewan Sands Holiday Park that links us to Mevagissey, Fowey, Charlestown and the mainline train stations of Par and St Austell.
You can fly to Newquay, Cornwall, directly from several UK airports including Birmingham, Belfast and London.
What times of year is the site open?
For the 2025 season, we're open from Friday 28th March to Saturday 1st November.
What disabled facilities do you have?
At Pentewan Sands Holiday Park, we’re passionate about making all of our facilities as accessible as possible to as many people as we can. Our park is designed with inclusivity at the heart, and we’ve taken extra steps to make sure our accommodations and facilities work for everyone.
We have three wheelchair-friendly holiday homes (A16, D26 and E25) which offer wide access, a full wet-room, a portable helper-frame and wide single beds. Please note: our accessible holiday homes have standard height kitchens.
There are also accessible bathrooms in the amenity blocks and we have a beach wheelchair for guests to use.

Do you allow dogs at Pentewan Sands Holiday Park?
We regret to inform you that dogs and other pets are NOT allowed anywhere on Pentewan Sands except guide and assistance dogs, who must always be wearing a lead or harness. Certification must be shown and presented on arrival. Failure to do so will result in you and your dog being asked to leave the park for the duration of your stay.
However, dogs are welcome at our sister site at Heligan Caravan & Camping Park.
Is there a fee to use the tennis courts?
Yes, our courts are located behind D field - please book with our Reception team or via your guest portal.
- £6.00 per hour (adult's court)
- £4.00 per hour (children's court)
- PLUS £5.00 key deposit (cash)
- Rackets and ball hire is included in the price, but a £10.00 deposit is required for use of these (cash).
