New for 2015

What’s NEW for 2015 at Pentewan Sands Holiday Park

It's been a busy winter and we're pleased to announce lots of new and exciting changes and updates for 2015...

NEW WIFI

We’re pleased to be able to bring the internet to your pitch or holiday home this year. Wi-Fi coverage is available throughout the park but please note, some areas do have a stronger signal strength than others. 2015 prices are: One device 1 day - £3, 3 days - £7, 7 days - £12. Up to four devices 3 days - £15, 7 days - £25.

All you have to do is test the signal strength from your pitch and follow the sign-up details to log-in. There are designated telephone lines in Reception to allow you to contact the provider directly with any questions or issues you may have. Please note, the WiFi network is designed for general web browsing, email and social networking usage and we are therefore unable to guarantee that it will support high bandwidth applications such as gaming, video calling, streaming and catch up programs requiring large file downloads, especially during busy periods.

NEW VENUES

New for 2015, the Jolly Roger is our on-site traditional pub! Cosy and friendly, the Jolly Roger will replace the old arcade (next to Pentewan Plaice) and will be opening for May Half Term and then onwards for peak dates. Come on down and try some of our local ales!

The Driftwood will also be welcoming the arrival of the Hubbox. The Hubbox are a local, Cornish company renowned for their awesome burgers, local ingredients and American style. In fact, their Big Kahuna Burgers have been named the overall winner at the Casual Dining’s National Burger Awards. The Hubbox at Driftwood Beach Bar will be open from 1 April. With an emphasis on quality and using meat from Cornish farms and bread from local artisan Baker Tom, the Hubbox is far from a commercial burger bar. Also on the menu are hot dogs made from 98% free range pork, pulled pork sandwiches and the Hub Mack Daddy – crispy Cornish mackerel with shredded beetroot and horseradish mayo.

NEW ARCADE

The NEW arcade will be situated on the ground floor of The Seahorse. Open daily they’ll be a good selection of games for children (and adults) of all ages.

NEW HOLIDAY HOMES

For 2015 we have introduced lots more new holiday homes to ensure that we continue to provide our guests with the most up to date holiday homes. We have added 10 new top-of-the-range holiday homes, with new 3-bedroom homes in our Diamond range and a unique new-style 2-bedroom Platinum home. All are super wide for additional space and comfort.

It is not just at the very top end that you’ll find new homes – this year, we are also introducing new, high-spec homes direct into our Gold Plus range. All our new holiday homes, in whichever price band, come with central heating, and all the modern comforts of home as well the additional benefit of a sun-deck to make the most of outdoor living.

NEW ADDITIONS

We’re also pleased to announce that alongside our continued refurbishment of the toilet blocks we will also be introducing new equipment and updating the current facilities in our beach play area.

NEW BALLOT FORMS for 2016 touring pitch bookings.

Following a review of the advance booking process for touring pitches, it has been decided to revert back to the former ballot system with immediate effect.

Therefore it is no longer possible to pre-book touring pitches for the following season. Instead bookings will be made from the first Monday in November via a paper based ballot process. Online bookings will be available once the ballot has been completed and telephone lines will open at 9am on the Tuesday.

To take part in the ballot customers must complete a 2016 ballot application for each holiday they would like. We will not accept multiple bookings on one form.

Ballot forms will be available online or at Reception from the 20th of March and can be lodged in person or by post from this date. They must be received no later than the 1st November to be included. Forms received after this date will be processed after the ballot has taken place.

Upon receipt of a ballot form the customer will be issued with a receipt confirming the date of receipt and a summary of the request this should be retained in case of a query during the ballot. All applications will be stored confidentially and securely until the morning of the ballot.

All applications will be shuffled prior to the ballot and picked at random for processing. Under no circumstances will they be dealt with in date order or priority be given to an individual application.

Group requests should be securely fixed together by way of a staple, no responsibility will be accepted for forms which are not securely held together should they be separated in the process. If you have any questions relating to the Ballot system, please contact Gaynor on [email protected].

We hope you all like the new changes and look forward to welcoming you back to Pentewan Sands Holiday Park to see what's new for yourselves.
