How far is Pentewan Sands Holiday Park from the beach?
Our holiday park is located on its own private beach! All of our accommodation options are within walking distance of the sea. If you're looking for our a luxurious beachside stay, our popular beachfront pitches and beach houses are located directly by the beach.
How far away are the major offsite attractions?
Some of the UK's biggest attractions are within a short drive or bus ride of Pentewan Sands Holiday Park attractions. You can find out more about local attractions and places to visit here.

What accessible facilities do you have?
At Pentewan Sands Holiday Park, we’re passionate about making all of our facilities as accessible as possible to as many people as we can. Our park is designed with inclusivity at the heart, and we’ve taken extra steps to make sure our accommodations and facilities work for everyone.
We have three wheelchair-friendly holiday homes (A16, D27 and E25) which offer wide access, a full wet-room, a portable helper-frame and wide single beds. Please note: our accessible holiday homes have standard height kitchens.
There are also accessible bathrooms in the amenity blocks and we have a beach wheelchair for guests to use.
Do you have electric vehicle charging facilities?
Yes! We're excited to offer electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities on many of our pitches, outside of our holiday homes, and in our Seahorse car park. Please see our park map to find out where the EV charging points are located.
The charging of electric vehicles is strictly prohibited except via dedicated electric vehicle charging points. Please note, any use of electricity intended for your accommodation for charging electric vehicles will incur a fee of £35 and you may be asked to leave the park.
What is included in the price of my holiday?
If you are staying at Pentewan Sands Holiday Park, you'll have unlimited access to our all-weather leisure facility, The Seahorse, which has two, heated indoor swimming pools and an amusement arcade. We have an array of facilities including shower and toilet amenities, on-site shop and plenty of eateries for you to enjoy. View all of our facilities here.
If you are staying in one of our holiday homes we provide duvets, duvet covers, pillows, pillowcases, and one sheet per bed free of charge. Additional linen can be provided if necessary. We do not provide linen for children under 3, cot linen, tea towels, towels, or shower/bath mats. For a full list of what is included, click here.
What is included in my holiday home?
All of our holiday homes are well equipped for a comfortable stay, from cooking, eating, showering, relaxing and enjoying a good nights sleep. Even the bed linen is included!

What size are the pitches?
The pitches at Pentewan Sands Holiday Park are generous in size and are an average of 13 meters square. Book online to see the actual size of your pitch or call our reservations team on +44 (0) 1726 843 485 to discuss your requirements.
We do ask that all our prospective guests check the size of their tent, motorhome, or touring caravan before booking to select the most appropriate pitch.
How can I pay for my holiday?
You can pay online or over the phone! At the time of booking we will take a deposit and the balance will be due 42 days before arrival. We take a 25% deposit on all touring pitches and £100 per week’s holiday for all holiday homes. So, for 7 nights a deposit of £100 and for 14 nights a deposit of £200 and so on. We take all major credit and debit cards. We do not take American Express. If a holiday is booked under 42 days before arrival the full amount will be required. This applies to both online and telephone bookings. All bookings for 7 nights or more are subject to a one-off booking fee and our Cancellation Scheme fee.
What grading is Pentewan Sands?
We've been proudly classified as a 5 Star Holiday Park by Visit England's Quality in Tourism Grading Scheme!
What time can I occupy my holiday home?
You can enter your holiday home from 4pm on the day of arrival - please head to reception to check in. On some rare occasions, your holiday home may be ready earlier. If this is the case, we'll mark this on our occupation board outside of reception. We ask our guests to depart our holiday homes by 10am after their stay, at which point a thorough cleaning process takes place followed by detailed checking by our supervisor team to ensure an exceptional standard.
Please note, charges will be incurred for late-checkout that has not had prior arrangement by the park.
What time can I occupy my pitch?
Pentewan Sands Holiday Park Camping and Touring pitches must be vacated by 10.30am, and can be occupied from 12pm on the start day of your holiday.

Are your beachfront pitches available all year?
Kindly note, that our beachfront pitches are only available at certain times of the year, ensuring the best experience in line with weather conditions.
The beachfront pitches are usually available to book Between April and September - call or email us to find out more.
What is the power supply to the electric pitches?
The pitches run on 240 volt/16 amp power supply.

Please be aware that Sat Nav devices tend to take you down a network of single-track Cornish lanes; which can be unsuitable for larger vehicles. We therefore advise that you travel via St Austell, and follow the directions as below.
From St Austell
Take the B3273 towards Mevagissey.
The entrance to Pentewan Sands is located on the left-hand side.
From Newquay
Take the A3058 to St Austell.

From the M5
Heading South on the M5, join the A30 westbound at Exeter.

Do you have Wi-Fi?
Free WiFi is available in The Seahorse and Hub Box.
Limited WiFi is available throughout the park; please check the signal on your pitch and follow log-in instructions.
- One device: 1 day - £4, 3 days - £10, 7 days - £17, 14 days - £24.
- Up to four devices: 3 days - £21, 7 days - £35, 14 days - £56.
We offer a free 30-minute session and advise checking the signal strength on your pitch/holiday home before purchasing to avoid disappointment.
Please note, the Wi-Fi network is designed for general web browsing, email and social networking usage. Every effort has been made to provide a full WiFi service across the site, however, there may be areas on the park that may have limited or no service. We cannot be responsible for the temporary withdrawal of the service due to adverse weather conditions or breakdown.
What public transport do you have nearby?
There is a bus service that stops outside Pentewan Sands Holiday Park that links us to Mevagissey, Fowey, Charlestown and the mainline train stations of Par and St Austell.
You can fly to Newquay, Cornwall, directly from several UK airports including Birmingham, Belfast and London.
Do you take bookings for rallies?
Yes, each year a number of rallies return to us. The Seahorse makes an ideal venue for large groups.

Do you allow dogs at Pentewan Sands Holiday Park?
Sadly, furry friends are not allowed on the park or beach due to restrictions on the beach throughout the year, with the exception of guide and assistance dogs, who must always be wearing a lead or harness. Certification must be shown and presented on arrival at the park for these dogs, and failure to do so may result in you and your dog being asked to leave the park for the duration of your stay.
However, dogs and other pets are welcome at our sister site at Heligan Caravan & Camping Park.
What if I have to cancel my holiday?
For all bookings for seven nights or more, we charge a compulsory cancellation scheme of £3.15 per night on holiday homes and £1.60 per night on camping and touring pitches.
The daily cancellation fee is also available as an optional extra for breaks shorter than 7 nights.
This covers cancellations such as illness, death, injury or maternity complications of any member of your party, redundancy, jury service or death, serious injury or illness of close relatives.

Is there a fee to use the tennis courts?
Yes, our courts are located behind D field - please book with our Reception team or via your guest portal.
- £6.00 per hour (adult's court)
- £4.00 per hour (children's court)
- PLUS £5.00 key deposit (cash)
- Rackets and ball hire is included in the price, but a £10.00 deposit is required for use of these (cash).
Are there any restrictions on site?
As we are a family-based holiday park we do not take bookings from young adult single sex parties. We do not allow pets of any kind at Pentewan Sands and we do not allow electric generators on site.

What is the damage deposit?
No damage deposit is required, however the company reserves the right to charge the customer within 72 hours of departure for any damaged or missing items. If deemed necessary, a minimum £60 cleaning charge (£150 for damage caused by smoking and up to £150 charge for damages to mattresses) may also be levied. Customers will be invoiced for any damaged or missing items which must be paid accordingly. Failure to pay will result in legal action or the refusal of future bookings.
Do you sell holiday homes?
Occasionally on renewal of our fleet, we may have units for sale. Please call Pentewan Sands Holiday Park for details. Our caravans in the park are only available to hire as holiday homes.
We do sell luxury holiday lodges and holiday homes at our sister site, Heligan Caravan & Camping Park.
How do you look after the sea?
Our beach meets the highest quality standard from the MCS (The Marine Conservation Society) and is recommended by them for bathing. We regularly carry out beach cleans too, to keep you and the environment safe from harm.
