2017 Mini Riviera Run

We are very excited about hosting the 2017 Mini Riviera Run here at Pentewan Sands Holiday Park. The event will be taking place over the weekend of 13 – 14 May and the Cornish Mini Club has planned many activities and attractions to delight Mini owners heading to Cornwall.
There are also Mini runs planned for those who choose to stay until Wednesday. As well as the ever-popular fancy dress contest, show ‘n’ shine and excellent Mini cruise, the club has pulled out all the stops to arrange a jam-packed itinerary over the weekend.
Attractions will include an unofficial run from the M5 to Cornwall to kick off the weekend, a tune-up tent hosted by Mini engine guru AC Dodd, rocker cover racing, loudest exhaust competition, sound off, glow show and inter-club games.
There will be Mini traders, including Mins R Us and a lifeboat display on Pentewan’s private beach. There will also be evening entertainment for both kids and adults as well as an amusement arcade.
The event is supporting two wonderful charities this year, including our Charity of the Year, Children’s Hospice South West and the RNLI Lifeboats.
CMC chairman Ben Borman explained the decision to move to our venue; "After a lot of discussion and reading feedback from the last two years, we decided it was time for a change of venue with a view of growing the Riviera Run back to its former glory. We are pleased to announce that Pentewan Sands Holiday Park near St Austell has been chosen as our new venue. It’s a fantastic place, right on the beach, and provides a beautiful backdrop. Everything we need is on site from food and drink to entertainment and leisure facilities."
Club Secretary Andy Brammall added, "The management team at Pentewan is very enthusiastic and delighted to host the Riviera Run. We will be working closely with them during the next few months to really make it a 'must do' Mini event. We hope the mini community supports the move and would like to extend a big thank you to MiniWorld and Minis-R-Us for supporting us with this move."
