Celebrating 80 Years of Pentewan Sands!

Family owned and run since 1945, our Holiday Park in Cornwall turns 80 this year! Take a look back at 8 decades of holidays on the beach in Cornwall - and all the exciting celebrations planned for 2025. We hope you can join us to celebrated this wonderful milestone.

While looking back over our archive, we found a fascinating collection of photographs, postcards, brochures and more from the last 80 years. Taken from a viewpoint behind the park, this wonderfully preserved photograph shows our holiday park and the bay of Mevagissey in the first decade of our timeline.

A message from the Pentewan family...

"It’s been eighty years since we welcomed our very first guests to our park in 1945 - even though it still feels like yesterday! Back then, in the aftermath of two world wars, we decided it was time to fill the shores of the South Coast of Cornwall with laughter and joy once again. We built the foundations of our holiday destination on a disused American army camp, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Over the years, we’ve welcomed generations of families to our park - as guests and as part of the team - and we’re honoured to be a part of your treasured, life-long memories. As we reach this monumental milestone, we’d like to thank each and every person who has chosen to share their time with us. We hope you enjoy celebrating our anniversary with us - and keep on creating memories here for years to come!"
