Our award-winning park is within walking distance of the South West Coast Path, our own private beach, and the scenic Pentewan village, with two pubs and an inner harbour. Just a short drive up the road, the seaside village of Mevagissey is a hidden gem, with quaint shops, places to grab a traditional Cornish pasty, and regular boat trips for sea fishing and wildlife spotting.

Within walking distance of our Holiday Park, Pentewan village houses a delightful inner harbour, two pubs and a small array of shops.

South West Coast Path

The famous South West Coast path is rated one of the top walks to be found anywhere in the world by Lonely Planet. With panoramic sea views, hidden coves and peaceful places to rest and have a picnic, there’s no better way to experience the Cornish coastline.

Pentewan Cycle Trail

Pedal your way around the South Coast path from Pentewan Sands! Our park has great access to routes through St Austell, Mevagissey and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. If you’d rather leave your bike at home, Pentewan Cycle Hire offers a range of quality bikes for all the family, including commuter, tandem, mountain and electric bikes.

Mevagissey Harbour

Just a 10-minute drive away, Mevagissey Harbour is an idyllic Cornish fishing village filled with unique shops, galleries, hidden nooks and plenty of places to pick up fish and chips or book a boat trip. There are regular bus routes from the stop outside of our entrance, which you can access on foot from our park.

Lost Gardens of Heligan

Only a 6-minute drive from Pentewan Sands, discover one of the most mysterious estates in England. Abandoned during WW1, the estate was rediscovered in 1990 and became Europe’s largest garden restoration project. Bursting with exotic plants, wildlife, farm animals and play parks, there's something for everyone.

The Eden Project

Famous worldwide, The Eden Project is a must when visiting Cornwall. Located only a 20-minute drive away, this ecological attraction is home to immersive biomes that recreate subtropical environments from across the planet. The Eden Project also houses Hangloose Adventure which is perfect for thrillseekers! With play parks and plenty to discover, this is a perfect day out for all weathers.

Cornwall Football Golf

This unique multi-award-winning attraction is only a 15-minute drive away on the outskirts of St Austell. Spread over 20 acres of stunning Cornish countryside, imagine the fun of adventure golf, on a huge scale!

St Austell Brewery

Discover St Austell Brewery (4.9 miles away) and taste their diverse selection of locally brewed ales and ciders. You can book a tour of the brewery to see how your favourite beverages are made and learn the history of Cornish brewing, or you can visit their bar and shop for free.

Mevagissey Boat Trips

Experience the Cornish coastline from a different angle! Mevagissey Harbour (6 minutes away from us by car or bus) is home to an abundance of boat trips. Explore hidden coves and look out across the turquoise water for pods of dolphins and seals basking in their natural habitat. The local ferry to Fowey is a great way to see the coast and explore two towns in one day.

Shipwreck & Heritage Centre, Charlestown

Just a 13 minute drive away, explore the fascinating history of sailing and trade in Cornwall. The array of exhibitions at the Shipwreck & Heritage Centre reveal the secrets of village life in Charlestown, its history, shipwrecks and the once thriving China Clay industry.

Wheal Martyn Clay Works

The UK's only China Clay Museum is a 15-minute drive from our park. Explore the indoor Discovery Centre and follow a virtual tour into a working clay pit with family-friendly interactive exhibits, film footage, voice recordings, and a making and drawing area. Plus, they have 26 acres for you to explore!

How do we find you?

By Road:

Please be aware that Sat Nav devices tend to take you down a network of single-track Cornish lanes; which can be unsuitable for larger vehicles. We therefore advise that you travel via St Austell, and follow the directions as below.

From St Austell

Take the B3273 towards Mevagissey.

The entrance to Pentewan Sands is located on the left-hand side.

From Newquay

Take the A3058 to St Austell.

From St Austell, take the B3273 towards Mevagissey.

The entrance to Pentewan Sands is located on the left-hand side.

From Truro

Take the A390 to St Austell.

From St Austell, take the B3273 towards Mevagissey.

From the M5

Heading South on the M5, join the A30 westbound at Exeter.

At the Bodmin roundabout, take the A391 to St Austell.
